Calligraphy!!!!! What????!!!!!

SAM_0018

So I started trying to learn calligraphy and to say it is hard is an understatement. In this box set they stated it would be better to practice on no line paper. Well you will see my paper soon and it looks crazy to me.  How ever I am a visual learner and enjoy the pictures that are in the book. I am using a M nib pen and I find I don’t like it because it makes the line thick and I don’t feel like I have control.

The other thing is, it says to keep going till you feel comfortable…..news flash I never done this before so none of it feels comfortable!!!!!! But I keep going until I feel good about it. So let’s just say this ride shall be interesting. I will be practicing this for ever it seems, but I really want better handwriting especially for writing messages on gifts or cards. I started on the next section within the book and well see below.

Bleaching technique and more……

SAM_0022 (5)

I did a video on youtube using the bleach technique. It was fun and it got me thinking about what other ways can I use this. Have you ever tried anything and thought about more ways to use it or wanted to keep experimenting. I like it when you try something and it ignites creativity. When I am on a cleanse day and I am trying to not think of food and what I’m missing I focus really well. I can get 2 or 3 craft projects done. I love making cards and I am starting to grow as a scrapbook maker. At the moment I get ideas from ladies on youtube and pinterest. What new things are you excited to try? I have always wanted to learn calligraphy because my handwriting sucks big time. I just didn’t realize how much practice it would take. I also want to learn cake decorating. So many thoughts are going through my mind and things I want to start. I know I want this blog to be about crafting but I think I want to include thoughts about new things I am starting. Talk about things I like and don’t like about it. I think that I will start with the calligraphy and see how this set works. I know this post was kind of all over the place….just bare with me I had no food today…LOL!!!!!

No Time

So much to do and not enough time. I know everyone goes through this, everyday in your mind you set a plan, when you look at the clock it seems the time has passed you by and nothing that was in the plan has happened. I know there are times where I have 2 or 3 craft ideas in the works and nothing gets worked on. What do you do? How to you combat this? How do you get what is in you head out and into a project? I know that for me I write the day off and try again the next day and maybe just maybe one of those to do’s will be completed.

Craft Zone

I don’t know how many of you feel this way, but there are days where I am in the zone and don’t want to move from my desk. Today has been one of them!!!! I hate it when I have to stop and go do something else and the mojo is a flowing strong. Well I know it can be hard to get back in gear after taking a break for whatever reason. For me, I like to get a good movie or at least ones I have seen before and get back into my space and try and create some more. You maybe asking does it work????? Sometimes it does and sometimes it don’t. As I get back into working on a scrapbook for a crop I am going to tomorrow, I’m going to do a Bourne-A-Thon and get crafting. Maybe even a class a wine!
